Transaction View

The Transaction View allows you to review recent transactions and perform actions such as refunds, reversals, and receipt reprints.

 

Viewing Transaction History

Tap the   icon in the top left and from the menu select "Receipts" to view a list of recent transactions. Transactions are displayed in a list starting with the most recent at the top.

  By tapping the search box at the top of the screen, you can search by the transaction reference, receipt number or transaction amount.

  You can also tap "Filter" in the top left and apply filters from the options available to fine-tune the list of transactions displayed.


You can filter by:

  • Transaction type
    Payment (for sales), Refund, Cancellation.
  • Transaction statusApproved and/or Declined.
  • Tips — Filter by whether or not the customer tipped.

 

Managing Transactions

Select a transaction from the list of receipts to view more details and perform actions.

Information shown

  • Unique receipt number — Uniquely identifies the receipt.
  • The transaction type — e.g. "Payment" is shown for a sale.
  • The authorisation number — Unique identifier from the issuing bank to confirm card authorisation.
  • The address of your business.
  • The date and time of the transaction and authorisation status (e.g. "Approved").
  • The total transaction amount.
  • Payment mode — This displays additional details you would typically find on the receipt. You can tap to expand the box to view the full summary:
    • Last four digits of the customer's card number and the card scheme.
    • MERCHANT ID — Unique identifier of the merchant within the acquiring bank platform.
    • WALLET ID — An internal identifier used for troubleshooting purposes.
    • AID — The application number for the payment card.
    • AUTH No — Unique identifier from the issuing bank to confirm card authorisation.
  • QR code — You can present this to the customer for them to scan with their smartphone. This displays the receipt on their device.

Actions

  • Select "Send the receipt by email" to send the customer a new copy of the transaction receipt.
  • Select "Cancel transaction" to cancel the transaction, if it is still pending.
  • Otherwise, select "Refund" to refund the transaction (customer must be present).

Select "Receipts" from the navigation bar along the bottom of the screen to view a list of recent transactions. Transactions are displayed in a list starting with the most recent at the top.

  By tapping the search box at the top of the screen, you can search by the receipt no., amount or date.

  You can also tap "Filter" in the top right and apply filters from the options available to fine-tune the list of transactions displayed.


You can select:

  • Transaction type
    Payment (for sales), Refund, Cancellation.

  • Amount — Enter minimum and/or maximum amount.
  • Date — Select the date the request was processed.

How to get there

  1. From the main screen, select "Totals".
  2. Select "Transaction Information".
  3. Select "Transaction View".

Viewing records

The Transaction View displays a list of recent transaction and reconciliation records. Each entry shows:

  • Transaction type - Reversal, Sale, Refund, or Reconciliation
  • Amount - The transaction amount (not applicable for reconciliations)
  • Status - The current status of the transaction (e.g. Approved)

Use the "Next" and "Back" buttons at the bottom of the page to navigate through multiple pages of transactions.

Viewing transactions and reconciliations

Select a transaction or reconciliation from the list to open the Transaction Information screen.

The Transaction Information screen displays the following details:

Field Description
Date The date and time the request was processed
Entry Mode (Only applicable to transactions)
The method used to capture payment details (e.g. Contactless)
PAN (Only applicable to transactions)
Masked card number used for the transaction
AUTH CODE (Only applicable to transactions)
Transaction authorisation code following successful payment authorisation
Total Amount (Only applicable to transactions)
Total amount authorised, including any tips applied at checkout
Result The outcome of the request (e.g. Approved)

 


 

Performing actions

Depending on the transaction type and status, you can perform the following actions from the Transaction Information screen:

Refund

Select "Refund" to refund a sale transaction. The sale must be settled before you can process a refund.

Reversal

Select "Reversal" to reverse an authorised transaction that has not yet been settled. A reversal releases the reserved funds back to the customer's bank account.

Reprint receipt

Select "Reprint receipt" to print a duplicate receipt for the transaction or reconciliation.
