If you decide to terminate your contract with Trust Payments, we offer a collection service to safely recycle or dispose of POS equipment you no longer need. Upon termination, please contact your Account Manager or our Support Team to arrange for the collection of your devices. When returning your devices, you will need to provide the following information:
- Full address for collection
- Contact name
- Contact phone number and email
- Quantity of devices to be collected
- S/N of all devices
Alternatively, if you have a purchase agreement only, you can dispose of the card machine in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling guidelines.
If you have a rental agreement in place, you must return the card machine to Trust Payments upon termination of the contract. A courier will be arranged for collection. Failure to return the device will attract penalties, as outlined in the agreement.
Electronic waste, including card machines, should not go in your general waste bin destined for a landfill. The metals and toxic substances in the device could pollute the soil and seep into the groundwater. Furthermore, if electronic waste is disposed of in a landfill, it’s a missed opportunity to recycle parts that can be reused in new devices.
