GPRS/Wi-Fi connection

The Ingenico Move 5000 terminal supports GPRS and Wi-Fi connection.

 

SIM card installation

If a SIM card needs installing:



  1. Power the terminal off by pressing and holding the   button on the keypad, and then selecting "Shutdown".
  2. Remove the rear cover of the terminal by pushing upwards on the switch on the back of the device.
  3. Insert the SIM into the SIM 1 slot in the upper-right corner (follow the insertion profile shown by the slot).
  4. Re-attach the rear cover by placing it on the back on the device and pushing the switch downwards to lock it in place.
  5. Power on the device by pressing and holding the green button for at least 2 seconds.
  6. When prompted, type in the APN "Mobius.m2m" using the keypad.
  7. If the SIM card has been successfully installed, you will see a mobile signal indicator displayed in the status bar at the top of the display.
  8. When the connection to the Trust Payments server has been established, the   icon is shown. If the connection is lost the     icon is shown.

 

Changing connection type

To switch between GPRS and Wi-Fi:

  1. Tap the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Network".
  2. Then tap “Change connectivity”.
  3. Select the required type and save your changes.

 

Wi-Fi connection setup

To connect to a Wi-Fi network:

  1. Tap the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Network".
  2. Tap the "Settings" item in the menu.
  3. Select the required Wi-Fi network from the list displayed.
  4. Enter the password using the numeric keypad then press the green OK button to submit.
  5. When successfully connected to Wi-Fi, you will see the   icon in the status bar at the top of the display.
  6. When the connection to the Trust Payments server has been established, the   icon is shown. If the connection is lost the     icon is shown.

  You can test your connection by tapping the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Handshake". The terminal will print out details of the connection.
