The ability for MyST users to access certain pages, or to perform certain actions, is dependent on the role they have been assigned. You can view the role assigned to your MyST account by navigating to your profile from any MyST page, either by using the config menu in the top-right, or by clicking your profile picture in the top-left.
The following roles are available:

Site admin
Users with this role benefit from the following features:
- Protected by two-factor authentication (required for sign in).
- User can reset their forgotten password from the sign in page.
- When signed in, user can change their MyST account password themselves, without intervention from admin.
- View details of recent transactions processed on your site(s).
- Re-authorise, refund, update and perform other actions on processed transactions.
- Generate reports on transactions processed on your site(s).
- Process new payments using our Virtual terminal.
- Process payouts using our Payout terminal.
- Request a payment by generating a unique link to a hosted checkout page.
- View acquirer fees on processed transactions.
- View merchant statements (feature only available to those using TRU Acquiring).
- View and manage their sub-users.

Site user
Users with this role benefit from the following features:

The following user roles are unable to change their own password or enable two-factor authentication on their MyST user accounts:
- View only transactions 2
- Virtual terminal user
- Virtual terminal user 2
The following user roles require two-factor authentication enabled to sign in:
- Site admin
- Developer
- Developer 2
- View only transactions, fees and merchant statements
Automated user roles
For purposes of automation, we provide additional user roles that can be used to interact with our Webservices API or MyST to retrieve transaction data without the need to sign in to MyST.
- Webservices - for processing any Web Services requests or downloading transaction or report CSV.
- Webservices 2 - for processing authorisation requests only.
- Extra transaction download - for downloading transaction or report CSV, which can also contain details of associated acquirer fees. (Acquirer fee info is only available for transactions processed with a participating acquiring bank. Contact our Support Team for further information)
Note: You cannot sign in to MyST using these roles.
