Subscriptions with WooCommerce

  Last updated:

Unfortunately, the product documented here is currently only available in English.

Requirements

To process subscriptions with our WooCommerce plugin, you will need to install WooCommerce Subscriptions.   Click here to learn more (external link).

In addition to hosting products on your website, you can also allow customers to order subscriptions. When a customer orders a subscription, our Subscription Engine will automatically charge the customer at regular intervals as defined in your settings.

Before deploying subscriptions in the production environment, ensure you test your solution in the test environment using your test site reference.

Because digital wallets (Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal) do not support subscriptions, the customer will only be presented with card payment methods at checkout if their cart contains a subscription.

How customers can cancel an active subscription

If the customer wants to cancel their subscription, they can do so by signing in to their account and using the navigation to go to My Account > Subscriptions > View > Cancel.

Managing a customer's subscription

In the admin interface, navigate to WooCommerce > Subscriptions and click the subscription you wish to manage.

To cancel a customer's subscription, update the Status to “Cancel”.

If the Status is "On hold", this indicates a payment declined and requires manual intervention.
