Suppression of receipts

The following instructions apply to the Ingenico Desk/Move and Castles terminals.

What is suppression of receipts?

Suppression of receipts is a feature that enables merchants that are using TRU Link (in a semi-integrated mode) to be able to stop the merchant and customer receipts from printing on the card machine.

When processing Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) transactions, you must always ensure receipts are printed and provided to your customers.

How to turn on/off suppression of receipts

Requirements

The card machine must be used in semi-integrated mode (terminal is paired with POS). This functionality is not available for merchants using a standalone solution.

Before attempting to suppress receipt printing, you must confirm with your ePOS or till provider that the transaction information is being captured and presented on the ePOS/till receipt. If this has not been set up, the merchant and customer receipt information will not be printable for either party.

To support this feature, your payment terminal must be running the following minimum version of the operational software:

  • Castles - OS v135 and App v72
  • Ingenico - OS v70 and App v2

To turn on/off suppression of receipts, please follow these instructions:

  1. Tap the   Menu icon at the bottom of the screen.
