Pairing POS for semi-integrated mode with TRU Link

This article explains how to pair the terminal for semi-integrated mode with TRU Link.

Follow the appropriate instructions below for your terminal:

 POS

If you are a semi-integrated POS merchant and your terminal is displaying the following icon, you will need to pair with Trust Payments in order for your terminal to be activated.

Screenshot: Present in the status bar is a crossed-out icon of a handset and screen to show that the device is not paired.

 

To pair your terminal, please complete the steps below:

  1. Select “Quick menu“.

    Main screen. At the bottom of the screen are Quick Pay, Menu, Quick Menu icons. The Quick Pay icon is circled for emphasis.


  2. Select “Admin“.

  3. Enter Manager password.

    Screen where user is prompted to enter their Manager password. There is a check icon to continue and an X option to cancel.


  4. Select “Pair with POS“.

Your terminal should be paired, and you should see this pairing icon:

Once successfully paired, your terminal will automatically register to the service within 1 hour. To complete the connection between the terminal and the till system, please ensure the registration of the serial number by entering it into the app on your till system. This is likely to be the same place where the TRU Link credentials were entered.
