Admin, Developer, TransactionUser, ViewFeeAndStatements

  How to access

Select “TRU Insight” from the side-bar.

Searching for MIDs

To get started, you will first need to enter the Merchant ID (MID) of the account you wish to view and select "Search".

Data across multiple MIDs can be combined and displayed together in a single dashboard. Simply type in the MIDs in a comma-separated list and select "Search".

Change the View

Data is grouped together into different Views, which you can easily switch between by using the tabs found above the dashboard.

We provide the following Views:

  • Authorisations - Payment approval rates, decline patterns, and transaction locations for understanding your payment performance.
  • Transactions - Payment volume trends, spending patterns, and portfolio composition for understanding your transaction performance.
  • Fraud - Fraud patterns, risk areas, and fraud mitigation effectiveness to help you understand and monitor emerging fraud trends.
  • Chargebacks - Chargeback patterns, dispute trends, and prevention effectiveness for understanding and monitoring your dispute performance.
  • Customer Analytics - Buyer patterns, spending trends, and customer segmentation for understanding customer behaviour and optimising relationship management strategies.
  • Benchmarks - Your performance compared to industry competitors for understanding your market position and identifying improvement opportunities for strategic decision-making.

Controls

The Controls can be found directly beneath the tabs used to change the view.

  • [Date] From: The earliest date for data displayed. Data from any earlier dates are filtered out.
  • [Date] To: The latest date for data displayed. Data from any later dates are filtered out.
  • To Date Filter: This filter controls how partial months are handled in the data displayed in order to provide a fair comparison:
    • Y - Shows data up to and including the current day of the month for all months included in the selected date range. For example, if the current date is 20th August 2025, only the first 20 days of each month will be shown.
    • N - Shows data after the current day of the month for all months included in the selected date range. For example, if the current date is 20th August 2025, data will only be shown for the 21st onward for each month.
    • All - Shows all data in the date range selected.
  • MID: Filter to view data for specific MIDs individually instead of your entire portfolio. This allows you to focus on particular accounts or compare performance between different MIDs.

Time Grouping Options

Choose how to group your data by time period to best suit your needs:

  • Month: Groups data by month. Dates display as month commencing, showing the first day of each month in your analysis.
  • Week: Groups data by week. Dates display as week commencing Monday, providing weekly performance insights.
  • Day: Shows daily data breakdown for detailed day-by-day analysis of your transaction patterns.
Use daily grouping for short-term analysis and identifying specific trends, weekly grouping for regular performance reviews, and monthly grouping for long-term strategic insights.

Display Options ("I Want to See")

Choose to calculate and display data using either the transaction counts or transaction values:

  • Number - All charts and visuals will display the number of transactions, helping you analyse transaction volumes and customer behaviour patterns.
  • Value (£) - All charts and visuals will display monetary values, helping you analyse revenue and transaction amounts.
You can switch between Number and Value views at any time to gain different perspectives on your data. Both metrics adhere to the same date range and filter settings selected earlier.
