MyST to Portal Enrolment Guide

  Last updated:

Unfortunately, the product documented here is currently only available in English.

  Preparing for Portal

  • The Portal rollout will be performed in phases. MyST users should expect to receive an email notifying them of the coming changes a few weeks ahead of Portal being made available to them.
  • When it is time for your business to be enrolled, we will contact the MyST users using their registered email addresses with a link to sign in for the first time.

We recommend all MyST users ensure that their contact details with us are still up to date to ensure they receive the emails notifying when Portal is ready for them.

  • Think of Portal as a separate system from MyST - User accounts, their permissions and other settings for Portal function independently from those in MyST. For example, changing your password on a Portal user account has no impact on any MyST account.

  Portal enrolment

  1. When Portal is ready for enrolment, you will receive an email from no-reply@trustpayments.com with a link to sign in for the first time.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration of your account on the new platform. You will be prompted to choose a secure password and also to set up multi-factor authentication.

While you will already be familiar with two-factor authentication as this will follow a similar process as used today in MyST, Portal will enforce two-factor authentication for all users. For further information, please refer to this guidance.

  3. After you have completed the above, you will be presented with this landing page - click "Portal" to complete the setup and sign in:

We recommend bookmarking the following URL to allow you to sign in to Portal directly in the future, bypassing the landing screen shown above:
    https://portal.trustpayments.com/

If you encounter any problems during the onboarding process, please contact our Support Team for assistance.

  Payments

  Settings

User search page can now be found under Settings!

This is where you can view and manage users. In functionality new to Portal, you can also create and manage Access Groups.

  Profile

Display options can now be found by clicking the   icon above any search result table.

The username currently signed in is displayed in the top-right. Click this to view details regarding your user profile or sign out.

About Access Groups

The ability to create and assign Access Groups is a feature new to Portal. An Access Group is a collection of related site references that have been grouped together. Admins can assign these groupings to their users, allowing them to assign a large number of site references in a single step. Each user can be assigned one Access Group. Site references can be added/removed from an Access Group at a later time, automatically updating the access from all assigned users.

To manage Access Groups, admins can click "Settings" from the side-bar and then "Access Groups". Click here to learn more.

The IP last used to sign in to your Portal user account and the date/time your account was last accessed are no longer shown in the side-bar. To view this information, visit your profile, by clicking your username in the top-right and then "Profile".

User management in Portal

All Portal users are assigned Roles that determine the actions they are permitted to perform.

With the launch of Portal, we redesigned the user roles from the ground up with the objective of simplifying the existing list currently employed by MyST. When enrolling in Portal, all users coming from MyST are automatically assigned a new Portal user role that most closely matches their MyST role. We have taken care to review this process to ensure users are not granted additional privileges when their new Portal role is assigned.

We encourage administrators to review our full list of new Portal user roles and re-assign the roles automatically given to their users if necessary. See the list below for further detail on how roles have been re-assigned:

  Admin

These users have unfettered access to all Portal features we provide to our merchants, including transaction, site(s), user and account management. New to Portal, multiple admins can now be created to manage the same site(s).

  • You can only edit a given user if you administrate all site references assigned to their account.
  • Users migrated from MyST who have not yet been emailed a link to enrol in Portal will be shown with status "STAGED".
  • While no action is needed (we send out these emails automatically in batches), you can click "Activate user" from the Actions drop-down on the right to initiate the enrolment process manually.
  • Users who have already been emailed the link to enrol are shown with status "PROVISIONED".

  • Click here to learn about all possible user statuses.

Searching for transactions and generating reports

While the process of performing a transaction search or generating a report is largely unchanged from MyST, there are some changes and improvements you should be aware of:

portal-datepicker3.png

When you click the Date drop-down, you will be shown the new date-picker, allowing you to select a range of dates.

  • On the left side, you can click a date on the calendar to select a single day and then click another date to select a range that spans both dates.
  • On the right side, you can type in precise date and time values if preferred. The drop-down in the top-right allows you to quickly select pre-defined ranges, e.g. "Today", "Yesterday", "This week", etc.

Click the "Advanced" button to specify additional filters to further narrow your search, and to specify additional fields to be displayed in the search results table.

You can click the table headers in the search results to change the sorting. Or click the   icons on any given column to move columns left and right, hide them from view or freeze to keep columns visible when scrolling left and right.

portal-rearrange-column.png

You can quickly rearrange the order of columns displayed by clicking a column header in the table and then dragging it either left or right into your preferred position.

portal-display-options.png

Click the   icon above the search results table to change the table display options.

portal-downloads.png

After performing the search, you can click the "Export" button above the table to export the records returned in CSV or XLS format. Downloaded files can be used to import the data into your own system or open in your spreadsheet software of choice. Files are now downloaded in the background, so you can continue to use Portal while you wait. Once the download is ready, you can click the provided link shown in the pop-up in the bottom right to complete the download. All downloads are valid for 24 hours before expiring. Click here to learn more.
