The Ingenico Desk 5000 terminal supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connection.
Ethernet setup
If an Ethernet cable needs installing:
- Connect Ethernet to back of router/connection point.
- Insert the other end of this cable into the slot marked "ETH" on the box.
Changing connection type
To switch between LAN and Wi-Fi:
- Tap the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Network".
- Then tap “Change connectivity”.
- Select the required type and save your changes.
Wi-Fi connection setup
To connect to a Wi-Fi network:
- Tap the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Network".
- Tap the "Settings" item in the menu.
- Select the required Wi-Fi network from the list displayed.
- Enter the password using the numeric keypad then press the green OK button to submit.
- When successfully connected to Wi-Fi, you will see the icon in the status bar at the top of the display.
- When the connection to the Trust Payments server has been established, the icon is shown. If the connection is lost the icon is shown.
You can test your connection by tapping the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Handshake". The terminal will print out details of the connection.
