To connect to a Wi-Fi network, follow the appropriate instructions below for your terminal:
SmartPOS
- From the main screen, tap "Settings".
- Enter the "Manager Passcode" and tap
- Tap "System Settings" then "Network Settings".
- From the Network & internet page displayed, tap "Wi-Fi".
- Enable the "Use Wi-Fi" option if not already enabled.
- Select the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect to from the options displayed.
- Enter the password and tap "Connect".
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the status bar along the top. If you have a data connection, you will see a icon.
- You can tap the icon in the bottom left to return to previous pages.
Once you have set up a connection to Wi-Fi, your device will always favour a Wi-Fi network over a 4G connection if both are available.
POS
- Tap the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Network".
- Tap the "Settings" item in the menu.
- Select the required Wi-Fi network from the list displayed.
- Enter the password using the numeric keypad then press the green OK button to submit.
- When successfully connected to Wi-Fi, you will see the icon in the status bar at the top of the display.
- When the connection to the Trust Payments server has been established, the icon is shown. If the connection is lost the icon is shown.
You can test your connection by tapping the Quick Menu icon from the main screen, then "Handshake". The terminal will print out details of the connection.
