Android SDK requirements

  Last updated:

In order to install our Android SDK and begin processing payments with Trust Payments, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Contact our Support Team to request a gitlab_token for integrating the Android SDK into your project.
  • Your app must support Android 10 (API Level 29) or higher.
  • Your app must abide to the Google Play Store's Developer Program Policies - to assist with representing the data capture via the Trust Payments SDK, please reference the "Data Safety Information.md"
  • You will need an account with Trust Payments – Our Support Team will provide you with a test site reference (connects exclusively to our sandbox environment for testing) and live site reference (for processing transactions through our production environment).
  • You will need a server that can be configured to perform back-office processing tasks required to verify and process requests from customers.
  • You need a user account with the role “Webservices JWT” – If this user account has not already been provided, please request that one is created for your site(s) by contacting our Support Team.  This will be required to generate a signed JWT on your server that can be sent by the Trust Android SDK to process the payment with our gateway.
  • PSD2 – In order for your solution to be compliant with the Revised Directive on Payment Services (PSD2), you must ensure all transactions are performed using 3D Secure. This is explained later on in our JWT documentation.
