How do customers ask for cashback?

After the transaction amount has been entered and you have presented the device to the customer for payment, if they insert their card into the reader for chip and PIN, the device will ask the user if they would like to add cashback.

Screen that asks the user if they would like cashback. They select X for No or the check icon for Yes.

 

If they select 

This bypasses the cashback flow. The customer will be prompted to enter their PIN for authentication of the full amount and the sale is completed as normal.

If customer selects  

They will be prompted to enter the cashback amount (maximum amount possible is 100.00 in the local currency) and select    to confirm. As with a standard chip and PIN sale, the customer will then be prompted to enter their PIN for authentication of the full amount including the cashback before the sale is completed.

 

If cashback was added by the customer, this is reflected in the confirmation screen shown following a successful sale:
