The Castles VEGA 3000M contains a main lithium-polymer battery and can be operated without being permanently connected to power. If the battery level is low, it must be connected to power and recharged.

 

Charging your device

Connect directly to power supply

Connect the enclosed power cable to the left side of the device.

Using Charging Cradle/Base

To simplify the charging process, you can charge the terminal by placing it in the charging cradle. Simply insert the included power cable into the base of the cradle and it will be ready to charge your device.

Turning device on/off

Turn on Press and hold the    button on the keypad for at least 2 seconds to turn on the device. The power up process will take approximately 1 minute to complete.
Restart Press the    button on the keypad and select "Restart".
Turn off Press and hold the    button for at least 5 seconds (when the button is released the terminal switches off).

 

Replacing the battery

Press and hold the power button on the keypad for 5 seconds. The device will turn off once the power button has been released.

Remove the rear cover of the terminal by gently pulling down on the two levers and then pulling the cover towards you from the top downward.

Lift the battery up and out of the compartment by pulling on the tab in the direction shown by the arrow.

Remove the battery by unplugging the wire from the port in the back of the device. Connect the wire of the new battery into the same port and seat the battery in the battery compartment.

Once the new battery has been connected, push the rear cover back into place from the bottom up, so the levers at the top click back into place.

Press and hold the power button on the keypad for 2 seconds to turn the device on. The device takes about 1 minute to finish the startup process.
