Pairing the terminal to your smartphone
Once you have completed the first time setup described in this article, you can now pair the terminal to the mPOS app on your smartphone by following the steps below:
Android
- If the device isn't already turned on, hold the green button until the terminal is turned on.
- On the terminal, press “0” and “-” in quick succession.
- Scroll down to “BT Pairing” using the "F2" and "F3" buttons and select it using the green button on the keypad.
- Then go to the settings app on your phone and select “Connections” followed by “Bluetooth”.
- Under “Available devices”, choose the Ingenico device.
- Tap “Pair”, and after ensuring the 6-digit code on both the terminal and the mobile phone is the same, press the green OK button on the keypad of the terminal to confirm the connection.
- Open the mPOS app on your smartphone and sign in if you haven't already.
- Once on the page to connect terminal, select “Activate terminal” and choose “Ingenico”.
iOS
- If the device isn't already turned on, hold the green button until the terminal is turned on.
- On the terminal, press “0” and “-” in quick succession.
- Scroll down to “BT Pairing” using the "F2" and "F3" buttons and select it using the green button on the keypad.
- Then go to the settings app on your phone and select “Bluetooth”.
- Under “Other devices”, choose the Ingenico device.
- Tap “Pair”, and after ensuring the 6-digit code on both the terminal and the mobile phone is the same, press the green OK button on the keypad of the terminal to confirm the connection.
- Open the mPOS app on your smartphone and sign in if you haven't already.
- Once on the page to connect terminal, select “Activate terminal” and choose “Ingenico”.
Once you have completed these steps, your terminal may need to perform an update. This should only take a few minutes and then you will be able to start processing payments with your terminal via transactions sent through from the mobile app.
Reconnecting previously-paired terminal to smartphone
Android
- If the device isn't already turned on, hold the green button until the terminal is turned on.
- On the terminal, press “0” and “-” in quick succession.
- Scroll down to “BT Pairing” using the "F2" and "F3" buttons and select it using the green button on the keypad.
- Then go to the settings app on your phone and select “Connections” followed by “Bluetooth”.
- Under “Available devices”, choose the Ingenico device.
- Tap “Pair”, and after ensuring the 6-digit code on both the terminal and the mobile phone is the same, press the green OK button on the keypad of the terminal to confirm the connection.
- Open the mPOS app on your smartphone and sign in if you haven't already.
- Select “Settings”.
- Select “Card reader”.
- Ensure “Accept payment cards” is enabled (green) and select “Activate terminal”.
- Choose “Ingenico”.
iOS
- If the device isn't already turned on, hold the green button until the terminal is turned on.
- On the terminal, press “0” and “-” in quick succession.
- Scroll down to “BT Pairing” using the "F2" and "F3" buttons and select it using the green button on the keypad.
- Then go to the settings app on your phone and select “Bluetooth”.
- Under “Other devices”, choose the Ingenico device.
- Tap “Pair”, and after ensuring the 6-digit code on both the terminal and the mobile phone is the same, press the green OK button on the keypad of the terminal to confirm the connection.
- Open the mPOS app on your smartphone and sign in if you haven't already.
- Select “Settings”.
- Select “Card reader”.
- Ensure “Accept payment cards” is enabled (green) and select “Activate terminal”.
- Choose “Ingenico”.
Unpairing terminal from your smartphone
- If the device isn't already turned on, hold the green button until the terminal is turned on.
- On the terminal, press “0” and “-” in quick succession.
- Scroll down to “BT remove pairing” using the "F2" and "F3" buttons and select it using the green button on the keypad.
- You will be displayed a list of paired devices. Highlight the device you wish to unpair and press the green button on the keypad to confirm.
